The team from the Growth and Development Unit have received a Linkage grant from the Australian Research Council, together with University of Queensland, to examine self-regulation and identify areas that contribute to learning difficulties of low birth weight/pre-term babies.

Results of the study, due to commence in 2007, will be essential to the development of effective interventions. Its success will bring substantial benefits to children, their families and the greater community.

Congratulations to the Growth and Development Unit, including Dr Monica Cuskelly, Associate Prof Michael O’Callaghan and Associate Prof Peter Gray.
