Florist wins business achievers award

The team from Mater Florist took home the Quest City South News Business Achievers Award 2006, at a gala dinner in November.
The annual community newspaper award recognises businesses at the peak of customer service and enterprise excellence in their local area.
As one of seven finalists, Florist Manager Beata Dedokova-Burns had to forward a submission answering a range of questions relating to key business strategies, innovative approaches, use of technology, training, business guidance and sustaining a team culture, as well as undergo a number of “mystery shopper” evaluations.
A key business of Property Services, Mater Florist plays an integral role in raising much needed funds — over $300,000 in proceeds have been generated over the past five years, which went towards patient care and medical research.
