The meeting, hosted at the Gold Coast Convention Centre from 2 October to 5 October 2007, will feature a program focused on the key topics and issues pertinent to current obstetric and gynaecological practice. The meeting theme ‘Building Bridges’ has been chosen to reflect the diversity of the conference, which will host delegates from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines including: obstetricians, gynaecologists, midwives, GPs, specialist nurses and educators. There are expected to be 500 to 800 national and international delegates attending the conference.

Featuring a number of presentations from Mater specialists, the meeting will showcase the new Mater Mothers’ Hospitals and the maternity services provided by Mater Private Hospital Redland. Mater staff will be manning exhibition booth number 23 which will provide information and give-aways highlighting the opportunities available for obstetricians and midwives across all Mater Mothers’ Hospitals.

The meeting will allow Mater to further enhance their position as Australia’s premier obstetric facility, in addition to sourcing new talent in the key areas of obstetrics and midwifery for Mater Mothers’ Hospitals.
