Details of the Programs

Mater Health Services are extremely proud of our graduate nurse programs. Mater Health Services is NOT part of the Queensland Health Consortium, therefore we welcome all applicants to register their interest in the graduate nurse programs directly.

Mater currently offers three intakes for new graduate nurses; in January, February, and July.

The aim of the Mater Health Services Graduate Nurse Program is to provide each graduate nurse with a supportive environment to embed a high standard of nursing care into practice. The goal is to promote a seamless transition from student to registered or enrolled nurse, allowing the nurse to build upon current knowledge and expand competence, skills and confidence.

Many of the graduate nurse programs available at Mater are credit-worthy for post-graduate study at university, assisting the graduate to gain further qualifications in nursing.
